WHAT ARE THEY?: Witch/Meister
ABILITIES: While not so much in his nature, Arthur is a rabbit-like witch, or 'mage' as he'd prefer to be called. If needed, he could take the form of a black rabbit to make quick escapes. He prefers to fight with a weapon as his own abilities are a bit lacking. There isn't much he can do in hand-to-hand combat, though he has a powerful kick and bite. His magic relies mostly on the earth, and if he is indoors then he cannot use it.

ALLEGIANCE: As much as I'd prefer not to be involved, I side with Shibusen. As a witch admitted into the school, I find it would be wrong to betray them by staying neutral.

APPEARANCE: Arthur doesn't usually stand out in a crowd. He's rather plain, of average height and weight. However, it can depend on what he is wearing whether or not he stands out. Normally, he tends to wear a white button-up with a sweatervest. Occasionally, when he's feeling a bit different, he'll dress like a punk. And, even less often when he's in a really whacked out mood, he'll dress in odd costumes that range from an angel to a pirate.

As the result of many drunken nights, Arthur finds himself with a number of tattoos on his body. He does try to cover these up most of the time, but he's actually rather fond of them. Another oddity on his body that he likes is a nipple piercing.

LIKES:
+ Tea - A cup made just right.
+ Solitude - Sometimes all you really need is time away from others.
+ Reading - Is there a better way to pass the time?
+ Music - Whether it's playing or listening, music is always enjoyable.
+ Light Rain - Drizzle, just enough to cool the air without leaving everything soaked.

DISLIKES:
- Stereotypes - They're annoying.
- Crowds - People are bothersome and loud.
- Being Called Weak - It's not true, so why do people assume?
- When People Point Out His Eyebrows - Yes. They're large. Don't make a big deal of it.
- Heavy Rain - Mostly that horrible, heavy, wet feeling after walking in the rain.

FEARS:
x Being Trapped - With no way to fight back and the only thing you can see is your impending death.
x Drowning - Self-explanatory. Learning to swim would be helpful, but....
x Being Alone for Days at a Time - Yes, a little solitude is nice, but to be alone that long?

PERSONALITY:
As a first impression, Arthur comes off as a real jerk. He has a tendency to bark orders at others, regardless of who they are. A permanent scowl seems to be etched on his face. He doesn't like talking to people, so he usually keeps his responses short and to the point. It's very obvious when he is uncomfortable around someone else. Most times he'll come right out and say he doesn't want to be near them. For these reasons, he has very few friends. And he's perfectly okay with that fact.

However, even though he has only a few friends, he is very protective of them. If anyone were to threaten them seriously, he would immediately step in and threaten right back. Although he will make fun of his friends, he doesn't like it when other people do it. He could be considered hypocritical, because he makes fun of people he isn't close to as well.

There really isn't anything intimidating about Arthur. He looks mean, but he doesn't seem like the type who would be able to beat another person down. That is completely false, however. He would never back down from a fight, and it would take a serious amount of damage before he'd give up. Maybe he can't win every fight he's in, but he is by no means weak.

Most of all, Arthur is a very serious person. Aside from making fun of someone, he doesn't really appreciate or make jokes. He likes things to be done properly and hates it when people slack off. And he does tend to hit people if they say something stupid.

HISTORY:
From a very young age, Arthur knew that he was different. His family always seemed on edge wherever they went. He eventually found out that it was because they were a family of witches. Seeing his parents fear the world around them made a young Arthur paranoid to the point where he couldn't be separated from his parents at all without panicking. He didn't fully understand what it was about witches that made others hate them, but he was sure he didn't want to find out.

Of course, wouldn't didn't last. Eventually his parents forced him to grow apart from them. They didn't want him to become sheltered and learn only to rely on them. That wouldn't bode well in the future. And yet, he didn't want to stay away from them and he didn't want to make friends. This clingy behavior could not continue, and his parents resorted to barring him from their home to keep him away. They told him it was for the best if he didn't come back.

At that point, Arthur was completely distressed. He had no idea what to do or where to go. He started traveling with no real destination. Somehow he ended up in a completely different country and in the middle of the desert. Even he isn't sure how exactly it happened, but he was there and he was tired from walking. He pressed on until he found a city in the middle of the desert. Death City, it was called, and in this city he found Shibusen.

He was enrolled in the academy and for a while he hid the fact that he is a witch. That didn't stay private forever, though. At the moment he does not have a partner, mostly because some people have a hard time putting up with his attitude.

Though he did not have a show starting for quite a while yet, Arthur sat backstage, his cart which held many swords next to him. He held one sword in his hand, the other hand rubbing down the blade to clean it. He wasn't one of those people who could stand to put the blade down their throat knowing it was dirty. Really, who knew what kind of diseases and dirt floated around back here? The Brit grumbled, examining his sword before putting it back into place and grabbing the next.

To anyone who may come by, it would seem that he was in a terrible mood. That wasn't completely true. Always before a show he would feel nervous, which was completely understandable. Sword swallowing was a dangerous practice, after all, and Arthur had hardly perfected the skill. He had been swallowing swords for a few years now, along with other objects, but he really had yet to become a master of the art. Then again, even those who had mastered it were probably nervous before a show. If anything even went slightly wrong, the results could be ghastly. He shuddered at the thought.

Well, this was doing nothing to help his nervousness. He continued to rub the blades clean, trying to focus on the task at hand. "Come now, you've done this before. Plenty of times. You'll be fine." He looked up for a moment hoping there was no one there who would witness him talking to himself. Actually, he would have felt better if there was someone there. Someone he could talk to to distract him from his fearful thoughts. Even if it was only somewhat.

Then again, Arthur wasn't really a fan of talking to people. Especially those who witnessed his show and wanted to ask questions. There were so many stupid people out there who believed everything he did was a mere trick. If it was a trick, he wouldn't have that horrible sore throat the few days after. If it was a trick, he wouldn't have submit himself to eating gallons of ice cream (he wouldn't admit that he loved the stuff) after every show. If it was a trick, he wouldn't be sitting here worrying about how he might cause himself a severe injury! ...right, it was really only the stupid fans that pissed him off. Some of them were genuinely interested and fascinated.

Arthur placed the blade back in it's holster, pulling out the next and the last. To think, after the show he'd be back here cleaning his swords again. Really, how had he ended up in such a messy business? "Oh right, because I lack the skills to do anything else."

"Suppose you could gain everything in the whole world, and lost your soul. Was it worth it?"
